We are looking for local community and private practice therapists who would like to support medical staff in the hospitals working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know that times of uncertainty and chronic stress can exacerbate existing mental health concerns. Please consider supporting this effort. If you have the ability to provide pro bono online therapy services, please complete the form below.

Project Parachute provides a matching service only. Therapists are expected to have a valid license in the state in which they practice (or practice under a licensed supervisor), their own liability insurance, and their own consent forms. Eleos can provide a HIPAA compliant server for teletherapy (click here).

Who is eligible to sign-up?

  • Fully licensed therapists
  • Provisionally licensed therapists (you have a temporary or a training license but are still supervised)

Unfortunately, therapists-in-training (graduate students, interns, etc.) are not able to provide services through Project Parachute. If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities, please email us at projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com.

Please discuss providing pro-bono therapy with your supervisor before signing up to help. We also recommend you consult with your liability insurance about being able to conduct pro-bono work.

Do you have liability/malpractice insurance?

Unfortunately, we are unable to list your profile if you don’t have liability insurance. Project Parachute provides matching service only and we don’t provide liability coverage.

Project Parachute provides a place where COVID-19 frontliners can find therapists who are interested in providing pro bono therapy to frontliners. However, Project Parachute isn't company like Better Help or Talkspace. We aren't hiring employees and therefore, we don't provide consent forms or malpractice insurance. We're more like Open Path Collective website where you advertise that you want to give back to COVID-19 frontliners in your state by offering pro bono therapy. When a COVID-19 frontliner matches with you for care, you would take them into your usual practice.

Although you will be providing therapy via teleheath during COVID-19 crisis, clients may wish to select a therapist in their city and state in case they would like to continue seeing you in person in the future.

Frontliner clients will be able to browse therapists in their state and select one they want to work with. Once we receive a request from a frontliner, we will notify you by email with their information.

It will be up to you to contact them and set up an appointment. Clients will be notified that the appointment is not confirmed until they hear from you. For the administrative purposes, you can treat the frontliner as another patient in your existing practice. It is completely up to you how many free sessions you offer, how often you see the client, and how long the sessions are. Please communicate your expectations with the client at the beginning of therapy.

Your profile will remain active on the website until you notify us that you no longer have availability. To deactivate your profile (you can always re-activate later), please send us an email: projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com.

Weekly Availability

Your availability will help frontliners find a therapist that best fits their schedule.

You can...

  • Set aside specific days and times. However, keep in mind you may not get a booking from us for several weeks.
  • Or list your general availability (e.g., Mondays 9 – 5, Tuesdays 4-8 pm, Saturdays 8-1). When we match you with a frontliner, you will work with them to find a time that works for both of you.
