Terms of Service:

Project Parachute provides a service that matches therapists and healthcare frontliners. Although we attempt to verify therapists’ licenses when therapists join Project Parachute, it is your responsibility to verify your therapist’s credentials before your first session. Verify that the therapist’s license is valid in the state in which they practice and that the therapist is not subject to any license strictures preventing practice. We are not responsible for the quality of therapeutic services offered.

It is your responsibility to evaluate the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information, opinion, advice or other content available through this site. Please seek the advice of professionals, as appropriate, regarding the evaluation of any specific information, opinion, advice or other content.

This site is not intended to be a substitute for professional advice. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any loss or damage caused by your reliance on information obtained through the site.

We do not endorse any third party’s products, services, websites, experience or background or otherwise. We do not make any representations or warranties with regard to any materials provided by the third parties.

I Agree to Terms of Service

Therapists have donated therapy time to you to say thank you for your hard work that supports us all. We know that this is a stressful time and that working with a therapist can help to manage your stress.

We can't keep anyone from hitting the ground but therapy, like a parachute, can soften your landing.

We define a healthcare frontliner as someone who is...

  • In a face-to-face healthcare setting where they may or may not have direct contact and/or care for someone with COVID-19. This includes healthcare workers and also administrative staff (e.g. check in), cleaners, cafeteria workers, etc.
  • In a face-to-face public health setting (with homeless individuals, at COVID testing centers) to promote screening, testing, and care for those with COVID-19.
  • Providing mental health services to the frontline as part of their job in a healthcare setting (not exclusively over telehealth).

Do you believe you qualify for our services for frontline health-care workers according to the definition above?

Thank you for your interest in receiving services through Project Parachute. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide services to people who do not fit our narrow definition of a COVID-19 frontliner.

We’ve included some free or low-fee options for individual care that may be helpful as you look for care. If you believe that this decision has been made in error or you have any further questions, please email us at projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com.

Do you currently have an individual therapist?

Thank you for your interest in receiving services through Project Parachute. At this time, we are only connecting therapists with frontliners who do not yet have therapeutic support. If you believe this decision has been made in error or you have any further questions, please email us at projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com.

Therapist Location

Due to licensing board regulations, therapists have to be licensed in the state where you are currently living in order to provide telehealth services to you.

Temporarily working on the frontlines away from home?

Select a therapist in the state where you will be physically present over the next few months. For example, if you plan to return home in 1-2 weeks, select a therapist in your home state. If you plan to remain in a state where you work for a month or longer, select a therapist in the state where you are currently located. When you return home, you may need to transition to a different therapist who is licensed in your home state. Please email us at projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Therapist Availability

Therapists availability reflects their office hours or times they set aside for pro-bono work. Specific appointment times may not be available, and therapists may have additional availability that is not listed here. The therapist will contact you directly to confirm their availability and schedule an appointment..

Insurance

All therapists on our site have agreed to provide pro-bono services during this first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, you may want to select a therapist that takes your insurance in case you want to continue seeing them long-term.

Select your state and then proceed to select a therapist.

Find Therapists

We currently do not have any therapists in this state. If you are looking for services, please email us at projectparachute.eleos@gmail.com and we will do our best to find one for you.

Also, feel free to check back later as we receive new therapist submissions daily.
